I graduated and obtained my Diploma in Mechatronics in the year 2002. I landed a job in the aerospace industry shortly after graduation and am still in the industry. Earlier this year, I enrolled in and embarked on a journey to take up the Advanced Diploma in Power Electronics course with SP. Having lost touch with formal education for 10 years, the initial weeks were an uphill task for me. I thought of giving up but an angel from SP gave me a hand and pulled me through - she is none other than Ms Chia Chew Lin.
Ms Chia is always encouraging, helpful and patient. Not once did I feel belittled in her class, but instead ended up having the motivation to excel! Often, when the class or an individual had a problem or did not understand the lesson, she would always explain and repeat herself till we understood. It is because of her SP spirit that I always pushed myself to the limit, trying to excel at my studies! She is always cheerful and it is a great joy to listen her lectures. It is an honour to be a student of Ms Chia.
